Original Rear Wiper Position

Can someone take a picture of their Fit rear wiper? I removed mine to fix H emblem and didn't mark original location. I made an approximation. But I'm pretty **** and if it's not what it was then I obsess about it.
Anyone know how much torque should be applied too?

Was that really necessary? Seems like you could have just swung the wiper up and cut the engine so it stops in the opposite position. Just wondering so no one else goes through all the trouble if they don't have to.

Large pictures (for details) can be seen here: http://hondafit2.0moola.com/

Torque applied to what - motor? arm? hatch?

the nut that holds the wiper arm on is tightened to 6ft/lbs.
the three wiper motor bolts are tightened to 7ft/lbs.

Thanks. Unfortunately it was necessary because the emblem was broke and in order to remove the outer panel above license plate you need to remove wiper.
Thanks again.

Sorry to hear it was unavoidable. Hope you get it back to normal.

Well, picture #36 from that site you gave shows it pretty clearly -- just as clear as any picture we could take. It really just lines up even with the black border of the rear glass. The nub for the wiper is splined, so hold the wiper arm in line with the border per the picture and wiggle it a bit until you can feel it 'click' in place on the nearest spline. Then just tighten your nut down and pop the cover back on.

BTW - thanks for the picture site link, I've been looking for HQ studio pics of the Fit for a bit.

It's splined on the spindle part of the motor but I didn't see any on the arm itself. It doesn't really click that I can tell or there are no grooves that line up. I think it grips it somehow. It did see that picture and that's about right. I may have to bring it down a bit but it functions.
Thanks.

The bushing in the wiper arm is also splined to match the motor shaft, but you have to press a bit on the hub while you're playing with the arm position to feel the clicks 'cause the spring in the arm tends to push it away from the spindle if you don't. I did a vertical rear wiper conversion on my Fit, so I know all about getting that arm in place. Keep in mind there is a tiny bit of play in the system, so the arm may vary in position by a small amount, but if it doesn't look like that picture you need to pull it off and readjust. Keep trying, you'll get it.
