Rear wiper arm spline damaged !!

Hey guys, I left my rear wiper on when I turned my car off. That night we had major ice and in the morning my rear wiper arm was stuck on the ice but the motor was still turning !!! The aluminum spline on my wiper arm is worn out.
Does anyone know if I can fix it, replace just the aluminum insert or do I have to replace the arm.
Does anyone know where I can buy these items ? I live in Montreal Canada

Thanks

Replace the arm. They make it softer than the motor-side splines so this will happen rather than the other way around.

take the arm off, clean the stripped aluminum off the motor splined shaft and put the arm back on, there might be enough "bite" for the wiper to now wipe, if this was the front, it probably is not worth the risk of it not working on the freeway, but the rear is more of a luxury, probably the honda dealer is the only place to get the arm and i dont think the stripped "insert" is replacable, at least i have always seem the arm as one piece.

You are likely to be able to find a similar arm at the wrecker. I doubt that Honda made a unique design for the Fit!

or just get a new one. rear arm is $70. i don't think you're saving by buying a used wreck part especially considering the effort you need to put in to find locate and evaluate one.
