Nice looking Fit but if you had gone with 195/40x17 on 45 mm OFFSET wheels you wouldn't have to do all that fender work.

Boring? Compared to what? And what difference does offset make?

The offset is ordinarily cast into the back of one of the spokes or inner rim.

compared to lower offsets . im running 42mm offsets on 16x7 with 205/45/16 and I have VERY LITTLE rubbing.

Its personal preference but I think it looks better when the wheel is pushed out closer to the fender. Im not talking about hellaflush offsets. I think it just looks better when the wheel fills out the wheel well.

well i did that, with 15x7" wheels, 195/50/15 tires, offset is 38, cambered at 1* front and back, lowered with hks coilover.. and you know what? they RUB!! well, not all the time, just when running over big bumps at high speed.. so, yeah it looks better, but it creeps me out when i run over a bump and the wheels are rubbing... i'm afraid they will blow up and i'll be toast...

Oh noes they rubbed! Big deal? I had 15x7 195/50/15 +32 front and +27 rear. The fronts rubbed under hard cornering and big bumps, the rears rubbed over medium bumps. So it rubs a little bit it's not the end of the world. If you are that conserened about rubbing then maybe you just need to stick to the stock rims and not lower the car.

Here's a quick question: if the tires rub during high speed, is there a risk of blowing up your tires? If not, then I'll live with it

Hell if I know. If they are constantly rubbing under any kind of drivin then yes there is probable a possible the tire will fail. With my 15's the rears rubbed with bumps. It chewed the side wall up a bit but the wheel is fine. If it's like you say that it only rubs over bumps then I don't really see a problem, bit what do I know

I have 225/45R 15's on 15x8 +25 at near stock ride height in the rear with HEAVILY rolled rear fenders . It still rubs.

Only solution for me it so add camber, so I had a custom set of shims machined to go onto the stub axle:

Size: 67.4 KB

Name: IMG953696_zpsb5b1e982.jpg

Size: 50.3 KB

With these I should have around -3.0 degree's of camber and should be able to clear.

Since your at an even lower offset, and I am guessing much lower than stock you may have to make some significant modifications... What size tire are you trying to fit? Can you go "smaller?" Start by adding camber, and if that does not work try trimming the plastic bumper and then cutting and relocating the bumper tab is where I would go next.

Hope that helps!

Im Running 225 With 8" Wheel And No RubbingOn Ksport Coilovers. Y Does Everyone Keep Saying U Can Only Run 205... I Laugh At That.

Roll Fenders Run negative Camber In Front Around -2 And Do The Rear Bumper Fix. Make Sure Toe Is Set At 0 Otherwise U Will Wear Tires.

wrong. tire size, wheel size, and wheel offset all play a role
