90,000 was a blurr, my 08 has 125 thousand on it, I changed the oil at 5,000 miles or a little later, like to do it myself this next time which is do very soon. I hit a water puddle and had to replace air conditioner compressor, only un expected cost , I've had, at a 125, this car has done nothing but amaze me, I've owned only two foreign cars for a length of time, the fit and the Nissan , it was a truck and it reminded me of my chevy blazer, look good but that was about it. LOL, I Want this car too go flying past 200 thousand, if I keep an eye on it, fluids and all, I don't see why it won't.

It looks like I'm keeping my car for a while, so I figured I'd share the post-300K mile experience on here in case anyone is curious. Plenty of cars go 300k+ these days, I understand. But it's still rare enough to be interesting to Fit enthusiasts, right?
Anyway. I'm at about 289K right now.

Hood is chipped all the shit, but the paint has held up real well under desert conditions...

Around 230K the leather wore completely through about 11 o'clock on the wheel. 5spd, so the left hand is favored I suppose.

I know there's another guy on here with 300K+. I'm curious to hear others. Maybe I can keep owning this interesting with some friendly competition.
Next on the maintenance list is to replace the fender liners ($18 each on Ebay), front brakes ($68 for pads and rotors on Ebay), and a new set of 60K mile Yokahamas ($500 at Discount Tire).
I should hit about 340K by the end of the year I guess. Hopefully my luck holds up.
plenty of cars do NOT go over 300k miles.

I've pushed my 08 sport to ~250K miles, and I'll give it to honda, they last a long time. I haven't any major problems, just the standard things you run into every now and then, only setting me back a few hundred bucks.
Looking at the engine, it has actually held up very well. Only problems it has had is just the alternator breaking, this has been a frequent problem for the car but I think I have fixed it.
The exterior is what you would expect, a lot of small dents in the front from rocks while you are on the interstate, plenty of dust and grime, and the bumper... Oh, the bumper, I prefer not to think about it because I might get a heart attack! This little piece of garbage has broken on me 3 TIMES!!! 3 times I bought a new bumper just for the plastic clips to break. I cringe every time I look at the unflush surface at the front of the car. It still functions like a standard bumper, but its now fitted for a widebody kit.
