Fit Sport rims on base model or just upgrade?

There was this VERY generous and fellow Fit owner who GAVE me his 07 sport rims for free to put on my 08 base model. I hear that the rims would work on my year is that true? I am wondering should I just slap those 15 on and have those for a while or should I just give them away and just buy new shoes all together?

If I keep them what tires would be best for dd? Do I need to do anything to the car ie: Alignment, suspension etc...?

I had the sport alloys on my base 07 and it looks fine...looks better lowered but I would stick with it unless you want a different look. The oem tire size is 195/55-15...just get that and thats it. You dont need an alignment unless you mess with the suspension or you notice your tires are wearing unevenly.

Yes, the wheels will work fine. The only change aside from the wheel's size is that the 07 wheel will lack the indentation for the TPMS sensors. The sensors can still be installed in the 07 wheels though.

Like smeister said, the OEM tire size is 195/55R15. I would not recommend getting the OEM tires that came with Fit Sports, which are the Dunlop SP31s and the Bridgestone Turanza EL41, because you can easily find tires that have better grip, longer tire life, and less road noise usually for the same price or cheaper. But I do recommend getting your alignment checked out if you do decide to get new tires.

According to Tire Rack, the best selling tires as a 195/55R15 for the Fit are the Yokohama AVID ENVigor ("High Performance", All-Season), the Yokohama S. Drive ("Ultra High Performance", Summer), and the General Exclaim UHP ("Ultra High Performance", Summer).

Nice response Hootie...I actually use the Yoko S Drives and they are nice...grip and quiet but I live in FL so maybe not the best tire for where you live. Wait you are in Vegas...should be good to go with the S Drives.
