Autos have flex plates and a fluid converter..

This is what I have experienced with the ETC quicker to respond. And yes as D.D stated it can excellerate fast I guess in turns but if you're use to it then you expect the shorter responce time. I mean we are talking about a Fit here not a Ferrari. To the OP it's never going to be a racing machine but I know with the 3 mods I mentioned b4 it's more fun to drive. I think that was his original question. With all the POSTS back and forth he has not said much.
Flipperlazo it will remove the lag time, I'm think'n you'll like it! But ask some of us that have one. I pretty sure T.C. has one. I have an A/T wouldn't know how it would be on a man.5spd.?

That would do absolutely nothing for my wants. A lighter flywheel as DrDoom said is exactly the solution for my desire.

in automatics they havve the plate that connects the torque converter to the engine which they make reduced weight which also takes a load off the engine as well

Please stop spreading that, it does not do ANYTHING about the lag in throttle response.

I do have a throttle controller so my opinion should matter.
