I wanna paint my intake runners
hey guys. i have a red gd3 with a white engine cover. y want to paint my intake runners BLACK >
does anyone have a tutorial or can give me a quick step by step on how to remove the runners and prep them?? thnx!

Hey man,
I'm afraid that I can only help you out with the removal process. I've never painted the runners before so hopefully someone with first hand experience will weigh in
1) Remove the engine cover. (refer to this Fit engine cover diagram if need be)
2) Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3) Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose, harness holder, the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor connector and the bolt.
4) Remove the four coolant housing bolts:

5) Remove the harness holder, the PCV hose, and the dipstick.
6) Remove the intake manifold and the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) plate gasket.
