What are you trying to achieve with installing a CAI?

Other than the obvious answer "Trying to get Cold(er) Air to my Intake" :P

Hopefully little performance and squeeze a bit more MPG out of the Fit.

Why do you ask?

because for the money you will spend, you'll never get a return in MPG savings, you'll get negligible performance and it'll make your car noisier

So what You're saying is anyone who purchased a CAI for their Fit just threw money down the drain?

Yes. You'd be better off getting a $40 k&n drop in filter because it's washable and it will last forever.

Somebody spent along time going to school, training, researching then designing the stock air box to achieve optimum performance for the motor in question. Prehaps with a larger throttle body and ecu tuning itd be more worthwhile. I wouldn't expect better mileage at all. More air = more fuel please correct me if I'm wrong.

To add to that, colder air is more dense. the denser the air the more fuel your ECU will feed your engine.

The stock airbox gives the best response, which, if you ask me, is more important for the Fit than peak hp/tq.

Aftermarket intakes make better sounds though.

I was kinda interested in this intake too its the best looking cheapest short ram which is all we get for the A/T. But i ended up just spending $65 and doing the diy tje kntake on the auto fit has to be so short its pointless to spend $130 thats the conclusion i came too. P.S. the diy sounds good im satisfied.
