Supplemental(secondary) battery question..

My amp drained all the power out of the battery(yuasa or something) that came with my GD3 and ive been carrying a jumpstart battery for a while on the occasions it drops to 11.8v(once-twice a week). So i was thinking, if i wall charged the battery back up; i might be able to wire it in parallel and use it like "a supplemental battery or capacitor", while my optima d51r is the main. and man i am surprise it fits even with the SRI.

what do you guys think?

-i wasn't listening to my music when the car was off. it just ate up all the power the alternator could push, and started eating the power out the battery. i just need to upgrade the alternator as soon as possible before it kills my yellowtop.

New guy on the block here... I have been curious about wiring up a secondary battery... New to workin on cars (especially newer cars) but could anyone give me some advice on installing one? Or at least point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
