People with hood dampers. HELP!

I finally got around to installing my JDM hood hinge to bolt my damper on. First thing I'm gonna say is it's an easy job, but a total pain in the ass. I think it'll be worth it in the end though.

Anyway. I got everything on, bolted up my damper and the hood wouldn't close. I looked for a second, scratched my head then lowered it while peeking under.... The damper is landing directly ON TOP OF THE FUSE BOX!

Anyone else had this problem. I got dark so I gotta check it out some more after work tomorrow.

If this all fails... Anyone got a JDM shorty prop rod?

Do you have the T1R hood dampener or did you make your own? I have the T1R one and had no problems with it hitting the fuse box.

Yes, it is the T1R kit. I just checked it out again and can not get it to work. I get it about 6" from being closed and it hits the fuse box.

I can take some pics in the morning how I have mine all mounted up if that helps. Maybe you will have to relocate the fuse box?

Here are some pics of mine. Can't figure out what I've done wrong.

T1R pic from the site.

Mine installed.

This is as far as I can close the hood.

In my third pic the shock is touching the box. There's still about 6-8 inches to go for it to close. I may have to stop by A&J and see whats up.
