I think I need a new clutch?please help
I have a 2007 honda fit sport, manual with 78,000 miles on it. Recently when I shift through my gears for instance 3rd to 4th my engine will continue to rev up around 5krpm even though im in a lower gear and then it finally comes down to about 3krpm it does this a lot now through all my gears. I have no engine lights or anything showing. I am wondering if this is my clutch or my transmission. anyone have this problem or no what it might be

I have never replaced a clutch in a Fit but I have done quite a few of them on other cars. In other vehicles the problem is sometimes oil from the engine rear seal or front seal of the trans leaking on the clutch disk that causes the slipping.
Odds are it is just a worn clutch disk or overheated / weak pressure plate. Both of which would normally be replaced on Clutch job. Someone else who has worked on a Fit will have to tell you how big of a job it is. I no longer have access to ALLDATA so I can not tell you how big of a job it is.
There is nothing in a manual transmission, other than a front seal leaking on the clutch disk, to cause the slipping you describe. The leaking seal failure is fairly rare. If the trans was damaged internally you would hear grinding, popping, banging, etc. while you are driving.

First: the fact: I assume that you do know how to drive a manual, right? the rpm climbs even if you have completely let go of the clutch?
if this is the case, then you're going to do a clutch job. it's preety big and require at least half day. it requires you to pop out the drive axle, drop the transmission box from under the car, and change the clutch and pressure plate. also this is a good chance to check your flywheel as well. if you're not a hands-on mechanic with sufficient car lift and jacks, i would advise to have a professional do it.

if you are just experiencing slipping while shifting it could be attributed to a mistimed/unbalanced release of clutch and application of throttle. (it can happen to the best of us!)
to be certain:
next time you are out put it in 5th while you are going about 30mph and then floor the gas. it should bog. if revs climb more rapidly the clutch is slipping.

even though the lights are not coming on make sure they check your sensors before doing a transmission job cause i would be majorly heated if i paid all that money and found out it was a loose connection or something crazy like that any dealer would know what to check before going that deep and i f you have a warranty do it now you might not pay anything

That i can't tell you but the engine has limiters and protection devices that keep the engine from over revving and moniter air and fuel which can go faulty and mess with the drivability and how the car runs. and i've heard horror stories of people say oh its the transmission and it was a crankshaft sensor going haywire and the light never came on. ammco now checks sensors before even going into any transmission cause new transmissions are very tricky nowadays all of em
