I've noticed that I have had to clay the Fit at least twice a year. And worse, the front end is starting to show its age due to it being a dust and rock plow.

Has anyone had a full front-end repaint done on any of their original GD3s? Wondering what it will cost, and also concerned since my particular paint color is very difficult to match.

 

well pricing varies from shop to shop. Generally, you get what you pay for. I think a full bumper should cost around $500. If you were around L.A, I would have suggested you a shop. Mine came out really well and matched.

 

Matching the paint shouldn't be a problem for a good painter that cares about his work. A body shop just matched the faded paint on my 11 year old CR-V. However, good painters cost more.

 

I paid about 500 for the front bumper, and 150 for each fender. Hood didn't get repainted. because I am planning to get wrapped in 3m matte black sheeting.

I will be doing the roof in time too.

 

I am thinking of getting the whole car repainted, I will do all the prep work though, because I know what I need done, and it will drop the price a bit.
