GD3 Limited Slip Differential

Hey there everyone,

I am new to the site here, and don't really have any experience with these cars but recently found myself with some Limited Slip Differentials for them.

Not really too sure what I am going to do with them as we don't work with Honda cars at all.

Anyways, my question here is are there people upgrading to a LSD in these cars at all? Any help would be great.

Thanks

Erik Johnson

I have 3 brand new Quaife QDF15U units, and 3 brand new Carbonetic plate type LSD's.

As I said, I don't really do much with these cars, and don't really have a need for these so if someone is looking for one, I would love to have the shelf space back.

Thanks,

Erik Johnson

I don't really know if this is a appropriate price or not but it looks like these run about $1000.00 online? Is that right? So I don't know $950.00?

you got the pricing right, however you are a new member, with 4 posts, trying to sell somthing. a few thigns wrong here...
-people dont jsut end up with many brand new, $1xxx car parts...stolen?
-you are not a store or certified quaife vendor....so no warrenty.
-you are not a fit freak vendor
-your prices are only about $50 less than getting an LSD from a store that offers returns/warrenty/reliability(customer service)

not to mention, most people on this forum like bolt ons. in teh big picture, very few will ever need, or get an LSD.

Nighthawksi,

You are correct we are in a couple of things here. We do not specialize in Honda parts, and the circumstances behind why we have these at all is somewhat weird. Apparently, before I was the sales manager here, a customer asked us to order these as we are both Carbonetic and Quaife dealers. So we did, and when it came time to pay, it turned out that the customer was trying to pay with a stolen credit card. Neither Quaife nor Carbonetics accepts returns, so now we are stuck with them.

I just thought that it might be something that people here might be interested in, as $50.00 is still a fairly decent meal, most places.

We actually specialize in Porsche gearboxes, and yes we are a real company. I am sorry about not being more forthcoming with this information. I just thought I would sell these myself and try to surprise the owners here a bit.

Well you've come to a good place to try to sell them, another option would be to use Ebay and keep the price lower if you're taking a loss on it anyway so if people sort by price lowest to highest on a Google Shopping or Ebay search yours will come up first.

I think you'll be able to sell them eventually.

Sorry to hear about the theivery. Are you going after the guy with the stolen CC? How's that going?

I'm sure the newish registration will throw off some potential buyers as well, but I think you'll sell them eventually.

It's a mod very few on here have done, it's on my list, but due to other mods I'm working on at the moment, I probably won't get one for atleast a yr.
Erik, just an fyi, the GD3 LSD is supposed to work with the GE8's also... not sure of the details, but atleast that will expand your possible buyers.
