Hello freaks, (sorry, couldn't resist)

I am just about 99% certain I will be purchasing a 2007 Fit Sport next week and since most of my preliminary research has been learned through this forum, I thought I might join and ask some specific questions regarding sport mode. If some of these questions are silly, sorry, I rode streetbikes all through high school (my first car) and dont have much driving experience.

1. I did a test drive, and noticed that in sport mode the car will prevent harmful downshifts, and drop to first when stopped, however will it allow me to carry a gear to redline, or automatically upshift?

2. Will it drop to 1st before I come to a complete stop? (if I roll a stop sign and it drops to first on me even though I am still moving that would get annoying.)

3. At the time I didnt think to hear for the shift, but I saw the dash read gear 5, but supposedly that isnt possible in S mode? T or F?

4. Off topic, but does the Ipod jack charge while its playing?
