Largest motor that will fit under the hood

I love my 2008 Fit very much and have plans on tricking "him" out. I would like to know the largest Honda engine that can be accommodated in my 2008 Fit Sport.

If only the original power-plant can stay what are some ways (radical mod or not) I can make my Henry a fierce and fun accelerator?

save your money and get another car if you're after straight line performance.

Thumbs up

My idea is to go with a K. i also want it AWD but that is going to be a huge mod. If you want to go with strait line exel. swap a K in it. i have spoken to a shop and the lead tech said they sell a swap kit for the ge8, I am sure i have sean swaps all over youtube on 07 and 08 fits so it should not be a problem. All i know is that the J will not fit but why would you want it. the K is i4 and it beats the ish out of the v6 J lol

BTW here is a motor I am considering, feel free to leave your own thoughts regarding it:

K20Z1
Found in:
2005-06 Acura RSX Type-S
2005-06 Honda Integra Type-S (Australia)
Displacement: 1,998 cc (121.9 cu in)
Compression: 11.0:1
Power: 201 hp (154 kW) @ 7800 rpm
SAE BHP Measurement changes from 2005 to 2006. Thus, reducing the 2006 Type-S rating from 210hp to 201hp on paper.
Torque: 143 lb·ft (194 Nm) @ 7000 rpm
Redline: 7900 rpm
Cutoff: 8200 rpm
i-VTEC Engagement Window:5800 rpm

Unless you have $10,000 to spend on your $10,000 car; you're better off selling the Fit and just buying an RSX-S.

Largest engine? 1.5L :P

I'm being sarcastic, obviously, although there's an element of truth - more than that you will be cutting some subframe members.
