I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but every search I've done of the forum only turns up modifications and custom lights.

A tree fell on my Fit a few weeks ago(thanks Hurricane Sandy) and I just got it back from the body shop tonight. They replaced the glass on the hatch but probably not the brake lights. My question is about the 3rd brake light on the hatch door.

When driving and braking, the light turns on. When I'm parked and lock the car with the remote, the other brake lights (left & right) come on, but the 3rd light doesn't come on. Has this always been the case and I just never noticed, or did something get wired wrong.

If memory serves me right when you lock/unlock the car only the parking lights and license plate lights only will illuminate. The only time the 3rd brake light is active is during braking only.

 

Sounds normal to me. Only the tail lights light up when locking/unlocking with fob.

 

Yup, Hootie and Blue are right. 3rd/center brake light is not activated with the remote. And yup, parking lights, not brake lights...
