I've been reading this forum for a while and finally joined because I can't find a post that will answer my question. I hope someone can help.

I was driving from Arizona to New York last week and pulling a tiny trailer with my Fit. I installed a closed circuit trailer harness that worked well for the most part. Just past Columbus, OH, my running lights went out, along with my blower motor controls and the controls for the sideview mirrors. I changed the 10 amp fuse in slot 22, which fixed the running lights (thanks to Fit Freak for that help!).

I never got the blower motor back (no speeds at all) or the mirror controls. I can definitely hear some change in sound coming from under the hood when I turn the blower controls to 1,2,3, or 4, but no fan.

Oh, and just to add another piece to the puzzle, the dummy light for overheating comes on sporadically and goes off by itself. However, the radiator doesn't seem to be overflowing into the overflow tank. The light goes off by itself.

I was going to change the 40 blower relay near the battery, but I can't seem to find one to buy.

Any help?

I presume you have checked fuse #5 (40A)and checked voltage to that fuse. Without those replacing the blower relay won't do much.
Check fuse #10 (7.5A) which fuses not only blower motor RELAY but aldso the left and right mirrors, drear window defog liite, and a bunch of other stuff including rad fan relay. Again check that power is getting to the fuse.
I presume you have filled the coolant system. Without full coolant the pump won't pump much; its not a positive displacement pump.
And how did you connect the trailer harness wiring? I see several places you could have overloaded tfuses leading to your problem.
PS whenever you add things to your electrical system you are better off wiring directly from the battery with its own fuse to protect the car system.
