Spark Plugs

Hey guys, my wife has an 08 honda fit base model, its almost ready to kit 100k so I was going to change the spark plugs. We live in NH so its colder here most of the time. I see some people like the
Denso IK22 and others like the

NGK (6774) IZFR6K-13. Amazon says the Denso doesnt fit the Honda Fit, but I wouldnt be suprised if it was wrong. Is there much of a difference between them? any preference from the general community?

We used same plugs that were in the car, whatever those were, same year 08'. More than likely you wouldn't notice a difference.

unfortunately I dont know what was OEM on these cars. We work off shifts so it may be a week before I can pull a plug to check it, and the time taken to do that I might as well just change them.

Honestly, use the Denso IK-22.

The slightly cooler plug has been dyno proven to make 2-3 more whp. MAYBE more if you use a higher octane fuel.

They are fairly reasonably priced if you get them off Amazon.

The plug you choose is going to be less of an issue than your ability to get the old plugs out after 100k miles, assuming you've never loosened them .. best of luck, hope they come out smooth

I just went with stock. I changed them out when I bought the car with 80k on them and they were still in great condition. A bit pricey at almost $20/plug from Honda.

Buy them at your local auto parts store and save.
