Coilover Questions

I have a budget of £700/$1100ish for a set of coilovers (I'd like to spend less) and i'm looking for an idea of the best set-up for that.. I've got a friend who's company sells BC-Racing in the UK (Where I am, I also used to work there!) but I've heard they're a cheap China-brand.. another brand they stock is D2 (Which a certain company rep' once told me were a "china brand", to which I argued with!)

Basically I'm looking for a good highly adjustable set of coil-overs for street/daily driver use, weekend back-road hard driving with the occasional track day, and various tarmac road trials once the season starts!

I know of BC, D2, Tein but are their any others? I'm a great believer in tuning my own suspension setup to my own physical and mental limits so no "just use XYZ lowering springs"

I'm also looking for the set-up to have camber control if possible!

D2 and BC are basically the same cheap china thing. If you weren't so keen on choosing stuff yourself I'd just tell you to get the js spring shock combo.

^This. If you really don't want "China made" coilovers, then be prepared to spend more than your budget. There are a couple more reputable brands out there that weren't mentioned, just do your research.

And I don't think any kits offered for our cars come with a camber adjusting plate, you use camber bolts up front and shims at the back.

Check out Function&Form or Skunk2.

Yep, I know. Unless op wants to spend on J's, KW, or Bilsteins.

The same previously mentioned garage deals with both KW and Bilstein I'll get a quote and take a look.

Has anyone had any experience with the "China" brands like D2 or Sk2 on the GD1? I had Sk2 pro C on my S2K for a while when I was in the states. Pretty decent but occasionally would bottom out with hard braking
