2006 Jazz Sport CVT - 07-3 Internal Failure of SRS Unit

Hi all,
I bought my first car a month ago. (Yahoo!) I just took my 2006 Jazz Sport CVT for it's MOT and it failed due to the SRS Driver Airbag light being constantly on. When my car guy did a diagnostic on it, it read '07-3 Internal Failure of SRS Unit' He couldn't find out what this means. Does anyone know before I have to take it to a dealer and pay through the nose?

Apologies if this has already been discussed, I took a quick look through. It's all very new to me and I'm learning as I go. Thanks for your patience!

Sorry to be the barer of bad news but that means your SRS controller is stuffed.

This will give you a place to start on diagnosing the problem.

THIS MUST BE VIEWED IN IE (INTERNET EXPLORER) TO SEE THE PHOTOS

My airbag light beside the speedo came on the other day in my 09 GE8. I am taking it in to Honda this morning.

Update

Thanks for replying! I took my car to the dealer today and since it's an import they have to do some digging for a part and will call me soon with a quote for the fix. I'm going to prepare myself for a very high number.

I'm all very new to this - do you know if all dealers charge the same price for things or might I be able to save some money if I shopped around a bit?

Thanks!

A Honda dealer? If so they should have the part overnight at latest. May not be too expensive. Any Honda dealer will charge about the same price.

i could not get mine repaired this morning as the dealer has software issue with their scanner . Going back next week sometime.

I'm not sure in the UK but in the states some dealers have different ways of thinking up how to squeeze out more money from customers like diagnosis charges etc. so some may just be cheaper than others.
