HELP!...SRS Unit not pulling any codes

I purchased 2010 fit that was in an accident. Curtain and driver seat airbag went off. I replaced the airbags and seatbelt. Now, i brought it in to get the SRS unit scanned, and they told me they cant even scan it. Theres no communication from the computer. I dont know what my next move should be. I cant even drive the car because it has a salvage title and needs to get inspected before i register it. any advice would be helpful. thanks

Return it back to the seller or drop more $$$ [than that Fit is worth?] on a mechanic (or dealer) to troubleshoot it?

Did you replace the SRS unit also??? If not that also needs to be replaced then scanned for any remaining open circuits. If all is good you can reinitialize the SRS system.

No, I did not replace the SRS unit. I had it reset, and apparently that didnt work. So theres no way around buying a new SRS unit? Do you know anything about salvage vehicle inspections in Wisconsin? Are they going to scan my airbag system, or could i just find a way to turn off the airbag light?
