2013 MT sport grinding noise

Does anyone else hear a faint grinding while in gear? as soon as I push the clutch in or put the car in neutral it stops. My car is also very notchy while shifting at times. I only have 8,000 miles on the car and am having a hard time getting the crappy local dealer to even look into it along with several other small trim issues the car developed.

How can this be? You make an appt and take the car in for service, state all the problems, leave the car and come back when all has been fixed. If they dont fix it at least you have the issue documented. They cannot just ignore or not fix a problem irregardless of how small.

Mine is fine. Maybe need a transmission fluid change. If that wont help, perhaps a clutch adjustment.
Good luck.

I have had 2 cars that had grinding sounds in gear, and would go away when the clutch got pressed in. Both were bad throwout bearings..my car is notchy into gears as well, I tried bleeding the clutch but it did not help too much. Good luck on the dealership part, they are nothing but dickbags

mine is a '12, no grinding noise from the throw out bearing. the gears grinded a few times while new into 3rd. now with 15k miles or so, no grinding nose, not notchy.

They really blow, People don't jokingly call them Dick Handjob (Hannah) Honda for nothing. I can't even talk to them without making an appointment. They also haven't documented the two times I've been in bitching about the trans and alignment already. I just setup an appointment at a dealer 150 miles away to see if I can get better results.

My 09 manual makes no noise that I have noticed. The shifting is light and accurate with an occasional bock into 3rd gear when the tranny is cold. I suggest that you check the transmission oil level. That requires taking the fill plug out from under the car. There is no dip stick for that unless they changed something since 09. You need to use only Honda manual transmission fluid, if it needs more.
