My 08 Fit A/C had been working properly until yesterday afternoon. I thought I heard a strange noise and then get very little air out of the registers although the fan is on high. I can hear the fan and it is spinning fast. If I move the control from recirculate to fresh air I get full air velocity. When I move the control back to recirculate again there is very little volume.

I know this thread is ancient but in case anybody else needs some help. I experienced this same problem and was extremely surprised by the silly and easy fix. The intake vent under the dash on the passenger side became clogged with tissue paper. Remove the tissue paper and the issue was fixed. All in all about 30 seconds of work if you take your time.
