Car paid off now I can get the parts I've been wanting!

On July 3rd I finally paid off my 2008 Honda Fit Sport BOM!! She's been kept up and maintained. I had a few mods done but nothing special. Now that I do not have any monthly payments on the car, I can now go and get some parts I've been wanting to put onto the Fit. SO it all started this weekend after changing my oil, oil filter and air filter.

I installed a billiard style Orange Pearl shift knob onto the car from sickspeed. Looks good since I'm driving a beautiful BOM Sport Fit!!

I also ordered the Tanabe Sustec Strut Tower bar (front part #TTB122F) today as well. Should be here in about 5 days or so.

Will be saving up for a axle back more than likely Tanabe's Concept G.
As for new shoes for Lilith (my 08 BOM Fit), I'm looking to get some 15x6.5 +30s wrapped in 205-50-15. I like that stance and will be a welcomed change where I live as the wheels won't be the usual suspects yet will be a bit lighter at 15lbs each vs the regular 19lb Fit Sport wheels.

Anyway just wanted to share my game plan and eventually will post pics as soon as these parts are installed. Here's a pic to my shift knob.

Congrats on paying your GD off!

You might also want to check out the Tanabe Touring Medalion for your axle back and maybe a 15x7 wheel since you want a semi-low offset wheel.
I can't wait to pay mine off too so it won't be that hard for me to buy parts for my GD.

Happy modding!

If you're looking to save some money on the exhaust, take a look at Apexi's official USA site. There's a backyard sale thing they have and there's the N1 and the SV exhaust. I got the SV myself and have enjoyed it.

Sounds like a plan for some good mods now that you can go wild.

Well I've been on a spree for parts as of late. Just decided on the Tanabe Concept G axle back - just ordered today found a great price on it!! Should be getting the Tanabe front strut bar this weekend (hopefully) and will install that as soon as it is in!! Let the modding commence!!!

Congrats on finishing paying her off, now the fun begins. I'm not sure I read anything about suspension. Were you planning on lowering her a bit? Also, it seems as though you like Tanabe products and I recently found this on ebay. Maybe you'd be interested.

As far as suspension I've just received the Tanabe Front strut bar (see below). I am looking at the suspension as the first focus. The brace is definitely on the list so thanks for the heads up on the nice price - will buy that next week.

As far as lowering the fit, at this time I'm waiting a bit. The wheels I want are 15x6.5 +30 and I want to wrap them on 205-50-15s. I want to get the rims and tire combo first, slap them on the Fit and then see what type of coil over system I will get to lower the vehicle at that time. As much as I like Tanabe, when I get the wheels, more than likely I'll be looking at Tein for the coil over system.

The next part is also on its way: Tanabe Concept G axle back - should be here in 5-10 days.

I was also thinking of replacing the front grill with a J's racing type n grill, but am thinking of actually taking the OEM grille and painting it to match my fit.

Right now it's suspension first (minus the lowering of the fit), plus exhaust, then tire/wheel combo and then a coil over system.

This will be installed by the end of the weekend!

Just an update on my car. I already posted this on the What did you do with your GD Fit today thread, but wanted to update this thread as well

Got the Tanabe Front Strut bar put in this past Sunday right before it rained LOL

Close ups of the brackets:

Should be getting the exhaust by this weekend, don't know if I will install it as I'm headed out to Otown, FL!

Ordered and received the Piaa H11 Plasma ion yellow fog light bulbs! Will install them sometime this week when it's not raining. Also just purchased a Fujita Intake that was for sale by jmsplitfyre. Can't wait to get this and install it too. Here's a pic of the H11s:

peace,

well I installed my PIAA H11 bulbs today. It took me about 15 minutes. The passenger side apparently has no slack as far as the wiring is concerned so had to figure out how to get my hands in the hole to disconnect the wiring.

Once I unplgged it was a very simple to take out the OEM bulb and put in the PIAAs

For your strut bar were those three bolts in the car already or did you have to drill holes or did it come in the kit?

the bolts come with the bar. The 3 holes are already there on the car on each side. The holes were covered by black stickers. I simply removed the stickers aligned the bracket holes and then put in the bolts in from one of the bolts from the top and the other 2 needed to come through from the wheel well up to the holes.

Don't know if I'm going to lower the car or not. Wife doesn't want me to and since it's a daily driver I'm not quite ready to lower the car. Eventually though I will. Most likely when I get my Jeep Wrangler.

I'll sell you my Skunk2 springs when I get my coilovers next year. Of course, for a very cheap price.
