scraping sound near left wheel
I have an 2007 fit and i started hearing this scraping sound near the left wheel area at low speed.. when i'm in traffic. The sound has gradually gotten worst and i hear it even on the freeway now. My friend will take a look at it next month. Does anyone know what might be the problem? It sounds liek something is rrubbing against the rims as the wheel spins. The sound goes away when I brake then starts again when i take my foot off the brake.

A rock trapped between the brake rotor and sheet metal shield.

More likely a bad wheel bearing. GD have had this problem for a long time. There is a "hidden warranty" for them but not sure if a 2007 will still qualify.
OR your brake pads are worn down to replace thickness and pad indicator is dragging.

good luck.
ps its a fairly common problem with todays plastic parts assembly techniques.
In the instances we have found debris in the caiper and back plate the sound got worse with braking. And when you brake the wheels get more camber due to spring compression and that would cause the top of the tire to move inward away from the fender. Just a thought. If that is it you will definitely see rub marks on the liner.

Most likely the rear bearings. Mine were making noise recently, I just took it out and regreased it. No more noise. Those who say they are sealed bearings, well....they come apart, just add more grease for the cheap fix.
