New to GDs. First post!

Hey all. This is my first post on FF! I recently sold my '94 R Package Miata, and picked up an '07 VBP Fit! Only 31K on the clock, too I am seriously loving this car. So far, I have done the rear wiper mod, tinted the windows, and installed some rain guards. I also have a set of Tanabe DF210s in the back seat, waiting to be installed. I'll be sure to update and post pics as more gets accomplished.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Sounds like you're off to a good start with your GD so far. Do you have any additional plans for it aside from the DF210s?

Full exhaust, wheels and Progress rear sway bar are next. Haven't quite decided on which exhaust or wheels to go with. I will most likely move slowly with the progress, until a good chunk of the car is paid off.

Sounds good, definitely more functional than what most have been doing here lately.

Just a thought... Since you are going to be installing the DF210 springs... Have you considered maybe going with a performance shock? Maybe even one with adjustable dampening?

I definitely have functionality in mind when it comes to this car. The Miata was slammed, and it just couldnt provide what I needed in a daily. Would you happen to know how Tokico Blues ride with the DF210s? I don't have plans to track the car. I just DD it approximately 100 miles per day on NoVA roads, which are quite bad.

I see. MX5s are great cars (despite not being practical) especially with a mild suspension setup... though I couldn't imagine driving one that is slammed.

I have no knowledge of how the Tokico Blues would ride with DF210s. I do recall that those springs are fairly mild spring rate wise... I don't recall were I have seen the spring rate chart with them listed though. With that said and keeping in mind that the Blues are a performace replacement, I'd presume it should be a mildly to moderately stiffer ride but still tolerable for daily use.

I personally am running the adjustable dampening Tokico HTSs (Reds/D-Specs) on Ground Control coilovers and love running them. In addition to that, if you look around the forum a bit you should see that RedShiftChris (I believe is his screen name) is setting up/made/re-valved some Koni adjustable dampers for our Fits.

Welcome to the boards. What is this rear wiper mod you speak of?

Gino, the mod I was referring to is the one where you remove the motor from behind the hatch liner, and relocate the pin that controls where the park position of the wiper arm is. It reverses the positioning of the arm, so that the park position is up rather than down. It looks awesome, and provides added functionality to the wiper during inclement weather such as snow. Thanks loudbang! I was pretty happy to come across a GD with such low miles. Had to drive to Ohio to pick it up, but it was so worth it Being in the National Guard, I really needed the storage space that the Fit provides, and it still has a fairly strong community for tuning and whatnot.
