Battery on GD3 needed 2 boosts in 2 days.

That's right guys. The battery is done. I have had the same battery in my fit since 2007. So now I need to replace. Thinking about going to Canadian tire to get one. I know the fit battery is smaller then an average car battery. I don't want to mod anything, just want to replace stock battery so it fits perfect. I'm thinking about going to Canadian tire after work. Can anyone suggest battery that would fit and that Canadian tire would carry? I do not want to buy one from honda. Do want to save a couple dollars anywhere possible. Money situation is brutal right now especially with the oil change I need to do.

I'd say do a 51R and just cut the side off like that guy.

Judging by what i'm seeing on Canadian Tire's site, they're recommending a 129 dollar 51R from MotoMaster. So either way, you'll get the 51R.

DO NOT GET A CANADIAN TIRE BATTERY! Their stuff is overpriced and crap. Costco has a 51r battery for 70$ (you get 10$ rebate for bringing in your old battery). Just don't tell them that which you car you are using the battery for since it's not the officially supported battery.

It's the Kirkland brand and the 51r is the #11 battery.

I am a Costco member so that will work. Thanks for the tip. Sounds like you have used it before. Will it fit right in nice and tight or am I really going to have to cut something? I don't want to do much work on it.

LOL. I'm a smart guy, but also very stupid lol. Been working long hours so heres my story.

Bought the Costco battery weeks ago, well yesterday it was -20 so my car wouldnt start in the morning. Had to call CAA cause I tried to replace the battery myself and froze, it was dark couldnt see what i was doing, and a side note, I lost the front bar that holds the battery in place. I still have the rear bar as well as the black bar that goes on top of the battery. Wondering where I could get that missing piece from, Canadian Tire, part source? Rather not go to Honda, and im assuming its a generic part and not honda specific.

So I get off the Go train coming home from work, car wont start again. So thats it, another boost, took the car to my parents garage, in 10 minutes placed the new battery in, did not remove anything just fit right in.

This morning it was -30 and the car started . Sputtered a little bit due to cold, but she started.

Try the auto parts store? I don't know what you guys have up there in Canada. Most auto parts stores usually have battery tie down stuff.
