Hi!
I bought a Honda fit 2003 GD3 recently and am facing a few problems and need your help BUDDIES. first once the engine is started and I put it to P(parking) position the sound of the engine changes like some sort of a booster pump starts running. then once I put it to neutral the gear lever cannot be moved to any other position unless I press the shift lock.
IS IT NORMAL???????

That all sounds pretty normal to me offhand. Most cars with automatic transmissions will idle a bit faster in park or neutral than in gear because there's less of a load on the engine. There's also a few things (such as the ABS pump) that often run for a few moments right when first starting the car. Of course, it's hard to say anything with certainty without actually hearing what you're hearing.

Most cars will let you shift from neutral to drive (and vice versa) without needing to push the shift lock button; the 2012 Fits are this way, according to my owner's manual. Possibly it was different with older Fits. You do need to press the release button to shift into and out of park, to shift into reverse, and to shift from drive to lower gear settings.

 

I don't see how this is a 'problem'
It should however be able to shift between neutral and drive without the lock having to be pressed. But that's US safety standards, it's probably not the same in Zimbabwe.

When you put it in park the sound you describe might be the engine fans or the AC compressor if you have the AC on.
