Misfire problem!

2008 honda fit A/T with 86,000 miles. Engine light came on about 2 months ago. I changed spark plugs to boshe platinum a and worked great for 2 weeks then problem came back.. So I bought the Autolite iridiums and again ran great for a week this time.. Took it to the dealer and he hooked it up to a dianostics machine.. Now he says I need to get the NGK plugs, so I did.. Now it seems to be even worst then before.. Under 25,000 rpms it stutters and misfires.. But as soon as it hits 28,000-35,000 rpms it goes again with no power loss.. Now when I floor it it doesn't misfire but the power isn't there either, kinda hesitates to go.. I have read every single post on here about misfiring and it seems none of them tell a story of he problem being fixed? Another thing to be considered is when I floor it the CEL starts blinking like crazy.. I wanna hear input with someone who has had these symptoms and fixed it?! Don't tell me coil packs because I don't have money for them after wastin 103.00 on the dianostics and 100 in spark plugs.. Dealership said coil packs were fine..

what code did the CEL throw out?

have you ever had a valve lash adjustment on the car?

Since the plugs are new and the coils fine, I'd get that done.

I'd also get the code number and see if there are any related issues....blinking CEL lights arent good and if your valve are way out of spec, gunning it while only damage them.

However If they were out of spec, I think you would have noticed it by how loud and "tappy" your engine sounds. I have 115,000 on my 09 and I've had 2 valve jobs done and will be getting my third this week hopefully since my engine sounds like an old school stock ticker.

Good Luck

You should've went with NGK spark plugs in the first place, they are a better quality. For ignition coils, I would go with a denso set. But with your check engine light on, it might be a valve adjustment issue. It might be time for you to get it done. The symptoms that I had before I did the valve adjustment were the following: engine would die if I didn't warm up the car for 10 minutes. Car would shake a lot in the beginning. If I did warm it up but not enough and I drive it to a stop sign it'll die.

Theses could be reasons for your check engine light issue. But maybe one of your sensors are malfunctioning
