I have an 08 sport. I have been battling a p2649 issue for months. All parts showing good as per the troubleshooting with the electronic manual instructions. The only thing I have not tested is the ecu. I am thinking about getting one from the junkyard to put in and test if the resistor may have gone in the ecu itself.

If I put a different one in will my keys still work? I am not sure if the immobilizer is in the ecu or a separate part.

Anyone have any info on this? Thanks
