07 Fit Dies on Uphill Stop
Hi, I have a 2007 Fit with about 130,000 miles on it, recently replaced the ignition coils which fixed it's rough running and misfiring as well as the battery which recently died. Just now I was driving up a regular hill (not too steep/long) and I came to the stop sign and all of a sudden the engine, oil, and battery light all came on at once and the engine shut down while the car remained on. I turned the car off and on and the engine light remained on, although not blinking and the other signs all turned off. I completed my short drive and now I'm kind of freaking out. This has happened once before but my engine light did not reappear when I turned the car back on. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue? I haven't seen anyone post about the same problem when all three of the lights turn on at once.
The three lights came on because the engine stalled. When the engine isn't running, there isn't any oil pressure (so the oil light comes on) and the alternator isn't charging the battery (so the battery light comes on).
As to what caused the car to stall, there are a whole lot of possibilities, ranging from mundane (you're running out of gas) to rather bad. As a first guess, have you adjusted the valve clearance? If not, that would be a very good place to start (and even if it's not the root cause, it would not be wasted effort or money).

If your check engine light is still on, the first course of action is to determine what code has been set.
An Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts will scan the code at No Charge. Get back to us once you find it.
But yeah, at 130K miles you are DUE for a valve adjustment. Other services were due around 110K miles as well, I'm thinking that cleaning the throttle body wouldn't hurt. A dirty TB can result in stalling but it doesn't usually turn on the CEL.
When you replaced the battery, did they do an Idle Re-Learn?

As above, but another thing to consider is that misfiring can damage your catalytic converter, which can cause symptoms like engine stalling and poor acceleration and fuel mileage. Not sure if a bad cat provokes an OBD code or not.

first, as suggested, get an OBD reading on any codes tht set, especially one involving fuel or ignition supply.
there is also a citcuit that turns the engine off in case of a roll over or violent manuever that hascaught atleast one autocrosser in an event.
tho its been a whie I think the resetis in the back floor but you need to check a shop manual.
good luck in finding your fault. next time it may not restart.
ps if you haven't had valves regapped i 130k miles its a wonder you still have an engine.
P0420 is usually the CEL for a bad Cat. Before the code comes up, you should notice some decline in MPG.
