A pro wheel refinishing shop will do a good job with powder coating, and the finish will be durable, especially with a clearcoat.
I have used this place to repair Curb Rash, and the cost a few years ago was ~$125 USD a wheel.
Wheel Collision Center - Excellence in Refinished/Used Factory OEM HyperSilver HyperBlack Brilliant Line Chrome Shadow Opal Diamond Silver Black Powdercoat Aluminum Alloy Wheel Rim Sales & Alloy Wheel Rim Straightening Repair & Refinishing! - Excelle
I'm sure there are similar companies local to you.
++++++++++++++++
Now, who knows if you feel it is worth it? Some cheaper aftermarket rims are the same price for a rim. Tire Rack has a good 'preview" so you can see what the rims look like on your car.
One thing: if you use a rattle-can paint to refinish, and they begin to chip, that will encourage you to buy your newer rims....

Wasn't aware of that, thanks.
But still, I see a LOT of PD'd wheels with the finish coming off from road cinders, curbs, etc. They look nice when they 'come out of the oven', not so much, later IMO.

I guess it depends how you do it. Plasti dip looks pretty cool a is pretty durable. My friend plasti dipped is rims black and they looked perfect for two years. He recently had a big accident so I guess they don't look so good!
If the OP isn't satisfied with the dip, he can just peel it off. With real paint, you first have to strip the wheel of its clear coat and even then you can still get peeling.
