Bumper gap

I have a fairly large gap between my hood and front bumper. Missing my splash guard (previous owner) and thinking that it could help push the bumper up to close the gap? Part number 74111SLNA00. Am I right in this assumption?

say what???
gap between the hood and front bumper. Perhaps adjust the bumper stops. Just turn them.
As for part 74111SLNA00, I bought one on ebay for about $25, and push pins are cheap on ebay too, all aftermarket, less then $30 shipped.
And No, the splash shield will not push anything up.

I know I'm a little late here, but I too have a large gap between the hood and front bumper. My Fit was very close to being totaled last summer, and ever since the collision center fixed me up, I noticed that little gap was maybe two times as big. I've just dealt with it for the past year, always feeling a little sad inside when I walk up to my car and realize it. I will try what fit2bking suggested here, if I can find out what/where the bumper stops are haha

Best way I can describe them is that they look like black nipples or a dunce cap. There is one on each side of the beam from left to right that the top of the front bumper attaches to. They're about the size of one knuckle on your finger. Just Google "bumper stop" and it should pop up.
