Just bought my Fit

I just started driving my 2007 Fit Sport. I bought it a few months ago as a backup to my DD. A few weeks ago it finally crapped out so I got the Fit on the road. It's a black Sport 5 speed with 42,000 on it. It has lots of boltons and I am undecided about whether to put it back to stock or leave it as is. The old owner gave me every factory part that he took off and since they are all brand new I'm torn.

Its a blast to drive as I am sure you all agree.

Its been lowered(not sure what springs but they're yellow), has header back exhaust (dc sports header, Skunk 2 header back), skunk2 short throw shifter, AEM polished CAI intake and possibly sway bars. So far I pulled out the AEM and put the factory air box in it. I will probably put the cat back in it since its way too loud and then decide about the rest of the exhaust.

Whatever I take off I will be selling when I get around to posting the stuff.

Thanks. It's been fun. I haven't worked on one of my own cars in a long time. It needs some tlc but I look forward to it.

Nice car. Wax that car to all hell, Leave headers and piping and swap the muffler portion for Honda HFP Sport Muffler. Its very "throaty" and mellow. I promise that's the sound you'll like. That muffler is very similar to Apex-i World Sport Exhaust. Its i big mid-range exhaust with some top end. Other than that do suspension add-ons and you have yourself an awesome auto-x toy.

Thanks guys. It's going to be my daily driver. I have a few other toys so this one doesnt need to do anything more than get good gas mileage and be comfortable to drive through NYC streets. Exhaust and suspension mods aren't really in the list.

You stated it was a problem. Wow you muted the music of Honda. and intake to hear the sound of power from the small motor that can and will. Its what us real Honda enthusiasts live for even on the test drive. I can promise you the box of rice muffler is the issue. partial throttle acceleration or cruising at 70mph will give you no intake noise louder than stock. listen to youtube vid with FIT's with just intake.

Here are a few for you.
Sounds stock untill he floors it and even then its not loud because he has the quiet megan racing exhaust.

Stock with just intake. This will def tell u its not the intake which is the main power gainer any way.

Just an update on my Fit.

After 50k miles I ran into a clutch issue. I made a thread here. It turns out the pressure plate either got killed from abuse, or was just defective. It ended up dragging and wouldn't disengage enough to shift smoothly.
I installed an Exedy OE replacement and its as good as new. Back in action.
