Scan Gauge 2 owners?
Scan Gauge 2 owners?
I picked one up used a few weeks ago and I have no idea what to do with it other than put in my vehicle's information and monitor the average mpg. How do you guys your scan gauge?
I use mine to monitor our cars' operating conditions. Also, as a code reader for friend's cars.
Since I share it with three other cars (and my daughter couldn't care less what the 'actual' coolant temperature is)
it has never been hooked up to the '07 Fit.

As I said mine is a ScanGaugeII that I bought years ago to read codes and other values. It is used mainly in our wife's minivan.
In my CR-V I always run a Garmin with the EcoRouteHD app. Like the ScanGauge, this app allows me to see twelve different values on virtual "instruments" right on the GPS' screen (no phone needed)

My favorite 'gauges' are battery voltage, coolant temp, intake temp, engine load, and throttle position.
On the main screen the GPS also shows instantaneous MPG (and trip MPG and cost, based on the price of gas I input at gas stops. A cumulative MPG and cost tally can be displayed as well. (I reset it every year, about 17K miles)
I wish it could read engine oil temp, but OBDII doesn't care about that....
+++++++++++++
As far as recommendation, I think it depends on how curious a driver is about the goings-on underhood. I know that my wife and daughter don't give a rat's patoot about what the engine is doing as long as the vehicle gets them where they want to go!

ScanGaugeII User Manual : Linear Logic
Hey Remi great catch there! they are pretty cool. From what I understand they show you what the ECU is reading from the dif. sensors. Here's a manual but by now I imagine you have printed and installed it in your ride, right. ha ha

Instant mpg, short trip mpg and trip mpg are the most useful. My grille block makes coolant temp critical, and fuel level remaining and DTE fill what's left of the screen on my UltraGauge.
I have gph and other things on scteen 2, but I almost never go there.
