OBD2 Door Lock for Gen 1

Hi,

For safety concern, I am looking for an aftermarket solution to install auto doorlock functionality in my car - 2006 Jazz.

It came across to me that there is a OBD2 dongle which I can purchase to enable auto door exceeding certain speed. My issue is that all I can find at the moment are for Gen2 - GE model and onward and I am wondering what are we lacking from Gen1 that makes it incompatible as opposed to the later generation.

Honda Jazz (14-15) OBD Automatic Door Lock Unlock Module - Plug & Play | quicksales.com.au listing 11584083

Any ideas?

Cheers
J

Huh. I never knew they made such a thing. Can't you just manually lock the driver's door and then that automatically locks all the doors? Or is that one of the differences between the Jazz and the Fit?

Are you concerned because you have children and you don't want them opening the back doors while the car's in motion? If so, you can enable the child locks, which'll make the doors open-able from the outside only. Otherwise, you can just get in the habit of locking the doors once you've started the car. Unless you're looking for a project, tracking down/installing a module sounds like a pain in the ass for something pretty minor unless you regularly ride with people who try to exit the car at high speed.
