So while I'm troubleshooting the short causing the problem,, anybody else had issues with this fuse? its the power to the relays for all the HVAC and the trigger power for the passenger windows and the mirrors.

I've removed all the relays that I believe it connects to. Next step is to unplug the wiring harnesses and sort it down to which of the harnesses the fuse touches..

Somewhere in:
all but the driver door window.
AC switch
Heater controls
Rear window defroster.
Mirror controls.

Any prior experience or issues please sound off!

 

There is a recall for some or all 07's for the power window switch failing due to water. I think this recall was also extended/re-recalled. Has yours been done?

 

I think so.. I'm working my way through the circuits this weekend chasing the gremlin.

I need to check the wire bundles that connect ot the doors and the switch modules. Make sure nothing looks toasty.

Also noticed another weird thing today,, if I press on the bottom of the steering column the radio turns off so I suspect a bad connection in there too. Looks like at some point someone was dinking around with the audio system too based on where I'm finding loose screws and missing screws..
