Can you install Navigation in 1st Gen Fit
#2
Factory navi was not an option on the GD3, at least in the US; other markets may differ.
Of course, you can have aftermarket navi installed. Tons of choices out there and you can have anyone you want install it.
I had a Pioneer AVIC U310BT aftermarket navi/bluetooth/HD radio etc. installed in my GD3 shortly after I bought it.

Why not use Google Maps or Waze on your smartphone for navigation, instead. The maps are always current. You just need a holder and a power source (these apps use phone battery!)
In Waze, you can have now have Morgan Freeman voice the directions. How cool is that??? How To Get Morgan Freeman Voice On Waze GPS Navigation App: Google Makes Maps Directions Via Actor?s Iconic Voice A Reality

Alternately, an audio head-unit with GPS/Nav capability might work...but it will be out of date in a few years, of course. A head unit with Apple CarPlay or AndriodAuto is another strategy.

You can get aftermarket head units that mirror the smartphone via an HDMI cable. Depending on the smartphone and the head unit, may be able to operate via voice commands only. But it won't be cheap, and you need the appropriate smartphone. Plus if you lose the cell signal, you might lose the navi as well.
I no longer have the GD3 with the Pioneer navi unit - the car was totaled earlier this year by someone running a red light at high speed. But using the navi on the head unit was much, much easier than using a smartphone. Because the head unit is mounted fairly high up on the dash, you don't need to look down to use it, and can keep an eye on the road. Once your destination is input, the spoken directions come through the car's speakers, which is nice if you rely mostly on spoken directions rather than what's on the screen.

The fit is a 2DIN radio slot and they sell the correct adapters on line. So a large size head unit with pop out or front face navi screen "fits" fine..
Phones just suck for navigation, I used to do sales and startup on computer equipment, the network lags on screen updates cost me too many missed exits and too much frustration,, bought a basic tom-tom and never looked back. AN yes I've tried since and it still has the same problem..
"Take exit 82" just as you pass the point of being actually able to take the exit...

Even if one was available, an aftermarket model will be more up to date.

If you have an older smartphone you can leave it hooked up in the car. Several people who use EscortLive or V1 do this.

Of course. I wasn't advocating leaving ANY readily-removable electronics on the windshield!
