Vibration (not misfire!) while idling in Drive

2 years ago I test drove my relative's 08 Fit Sport with 80000 miles and noticed vibration on the steering wheel when the car was stopped in gear.
Such vibration is common among older 4 cylinder FWD Toyotas.
On my car it sometimes felt too especially when car is stopped on incline, however it is not present when the engine is fully is warmed up (it is approaching 70000 miles mark).
There is also a "bump" when shifting between D to R
Some people on this forum replaced their motor mounts, so I would like to ask:
what kind of vibration have they experienced before repairs ?
which mounts were replaced??
any other repairs fixed this?
My relative's car has original plugs and coils (the car was driven in NY)
On my car I replaced coils with Hitachi brand from A/Z store (2 original coils had intermittent misfires strong enough to jolt entire car)
The vibration issue started before coil problems (like 2 years ago) and is slowly progressing; fist I noticed transmitted vibration on driver side armrest and foot well (including brake pedal) and now I feel it on the steering wheel.
There is also brief vibration during a/c cycle; it lasts about one second.
Finally, the vibration migrates in relation to the temperature/rpms (from armrest to footwell to the seat, etc.
Some cars having this vibration since day one (brand new Mazda 3, on front passenger seat

Our '07 MT had a bad LF trans mount. Diagnostic was visible at 100K miles. The rubber 'legs' of the mount had collapsed, allowing the drivetrain to drop.

There were no complaints from the driver before the repair. (Makes sense as the broken mount had not gone metal-to-metal yet before it was replaced.)
