Cruise control safety cut-out?

I was cruising through a left exit off the expressway and the cruise control cut off. Granted, it was set at 70 in a decreasing radius exchange from one route to another that is posted '40', but I still had plenty of traction. Is there a lateral G cutout built into the circuitry anyone know of?

Most likely, either the clutch or brake pedal switches de-actuated during the maneuver.
Pushing either of these pedals disables the CC.
