07 Fit Sport - Factory Security System programming?
Hello! I just picked up a 07 Fit Sport as a new daily beater.
Is the security system supposed to lock the doors when the ignition is ON and then unlock when its off automatically?
If not, is there a way to program it to do that? Search function did not help.

Do you have the owner's manual?
The '12 does automatically lock and unlock the doors under these conditions, though it's not really listed as part of the security system. There's a slightly complicated series of steps that you can do to set whether only the driver's door unlocks or they all unlock, and I think maybe disable the whole system. I don't know if the older model has this same feature or not.

Yeah. I looked in the manual and did not see anything about it. My manager has a 07 fit sport as well and I asked him today if his car does it and he said it does not.
It is probably something not re-programable I'm guessing.
I am going to the dealer on Monday for the airbag recall and I'll ask them while I'm there.
