Your Experience with EPS(Electrical Power Steering)
So I posted a while back about my EPS going crazy on my 2007 Fit with 137k Miles. The car is still doing similar things where sometimes when I start the car the EPS works - sometimes it doesnt - sometimes it shuts off during driving - and sometimes it goes crazy. I was wondering who has replaced or have a fix for these units - either the EPS Module or the EPS motor. Thanks a bunch! Heres a video of the EPS going crazy in my car -

It is not a problem to replace components but I would stay away from this repair until I'll find a cheap way to calibrate torque sensor.
At least with 175/65 R14 tires steering the car without PS will be easier.
BTW I was unpleasantly surprised during tire rotation after finding small cracks on the rubber boots covering tie rod end joints. Found this to be common problem on Hondas.

Electric Power Steering problem (torque neutral programing)
My 2007 Fit keeps drifting to the left. This has been going on for a while and while I haven't been driving it much I haven't noted any tire wear symptoms.
In search of the problem I found and repaired a broken front spring but the drifting problem persisted. After searching this forum and really paying attention to how it drifted I figured it might be the EPS calibration. Pulling the EPS fuse confirmed the drifting problem did not occur without the EPS active. The power steering is definitely biased to the left and always seems to apply a little bit of steering pressure in that direction.
I see reference to setting the "steering torque neutral sensor" memory. This is done at the dealer with their diagnostic and programming equipment but I'm wondering if it could be done like it can be done for a Honda S2000 by jumping ODBII pins 4 to 9 and following procedures rotating the steering wheel following EPS light cues.
I tried this without luck but some people have reported the reprogramming can be finicky and perhaps the procedure is different for my Fit.
Anyone know if this programming method is possible for the Fit and what that method might be?

Problem came back - it was fixed for a while and now I am getting a "51-07 Torque Sensor VT1, VT2 Check" and "51-03 Torque Sensor VT1, VT2 Rapid Change" Codes. Any idea on what could be wrong and how to fix this?
