2007 Fit making strange noise when coasting

Hey all,
First post - I've looked for this but didn't find it so please point me in right direction if wrong spot or already covered elsewhere.

Recently my girlfriend's 2007 Fit has been starting to make strange noises when coasting or eased off acceleration. I initially thought it was the spray guard that was loose because it doesn't seem to affect driveability or power or anything. Almost sounds like rushing air, except that it happens cyclically - like every second or two.

For instance, when accelerating up to 40 MPH or braking, no sound. But if brought up to 35 and then my foot is off the gas , then there is a circuitous sounding woosh coming from the front of the car. I can try and get a recording when she gets home if that would be helpful.

Has anyone encountered this before?

yup. same noise in neutral. almost sounds like a physical contact moving. going to secure splash shield and make sure push pins are good tomorrow and then?

Take a look on the brakes and drive axles. I would live out (for now) wheel bearings and tires because these items making noise based on speed (not torque load) only

Hey, I'm having a similar issue with my 194k mile Fit, all original everything, no parts replaced or touched besides coil packs and of course brakes (But that was a good 10k miles ago). I've noticed a whining noise recently, at low speeds and at decel, it sounds like a whirring/whine, not unlike the whine from the transmission when in reverse....which is scaring me, it's also a sort of a whistle.

I just had new tires installed, thought the wheel bearing or cv axle was starting to go out, got worst the past week and this weekend really bad on the highway, a little pulsing when braking and louder/quieter when slightly turning on highway. Went out to pull the tire and check brakes, cv , ball joints and wheel bearing.... First lug nut fell off 1-1/2 turns by finger, the other 3 were finger loose but nearly seated still but enough to let the wheel slop around, I'm pissed and tire shop is getting a call in the morning. I know I wont go there again.

If it does it in gear but not in neutral it may be related to final gear noise. If your car has M/T, check the fluid viscosity/ level
