Skunk 2 Short Shifter??

Skunk2 Short Shifter Adapter Kit for Honda Fit - JHPUSA

Does this work for our cars??
It says "universal" but nothing more specific. It would be sweet to not have to spend 150+ on a Mugen ss.

This is a different approach than the mugen piece.

It might make the stick shorter, but I don't know if it will shorten the throw as much as the mugen piece which is a complete shifter replacement.

Skunk is known for making reliable performance parts though, so it's probably a nice piece all the same. If you get it, let us know what you think!

I got the Mugen item, and must say it was worth the $. The difference in price has a lot to do with what the kits actually come with. $50 for an adapter of sorts vs 150+ for the whole swapped item.

Yea thats what I was thinking. Ill search around, probably call skunk, and if it is for out car, I'll probably try it out.

Ok I called Skunk 2, and they confirmed that its only for the GD.
Does anyone know if the m/t shifter assembly is the same for GD and the GE??

Could this possibly work on the 09+? Ive tried to look it up, part# etc, no luck. Anyone know?

Some are the same as the GD on the GE, but there are two other styles as well, making a total of three shift levers. H-fit makes a compatible one, and I think it's a better deal than the Skunk2. It comes with aluminum inserts and the adapter won't mar the ball on the end like the Skunk. $75 shipped.

Not true. H-fit sent me one that didn't fit, and then after investigating some customer cars in their area, they found that there are actually 3 GE designs, where the tapered part at the bottom is the exact same as the GD on one, is longer on another, and some iterations have a flat part machined into the bottom of the ball joint section.

edit: I should add that the Skunk2 might still fit all three since it only connects to the ball section.
