Alternative swaps R&D
Since swapping out. to a K20 or throwing in a turbo keeps getting thrown out for various reasons. "wont appeal to enough consumers to warrant the r and d..." what about an electric conversion? I reckon if someone could develop a kit that converts the jazz to electric And is capable of a 14 second pass in the 1/4 mile and kept the swap under 8,000$ i reckon it would sell.

If all you want is a 14sec pass on electric power only for $8k and speak nothing of weight, charge time or range.. then yes that is conceivable.
Somehow I don't think thats what you had in mind.
Not too mention that of all things.. that would definitely not warrant the time and investment required to design, test and produce.
If we are talking about wholly impractical swaps you could go with the N22 swap I've been mulling around in my head for a while.

I have a caged kart frame in storage thats screaming for a gixxer 1.0 in it.
Even a stripped Fit would be too heavy.. but a 3- or 4- rotor or a Hartley H1 however in say, JCrim's tuna can would be the ticket.

The Honda Trike project will be done first. I decided to scrap the stock 90cc motor that came with it back in 1979 for a 250cc GY6.
EFI, a tiny-ass IHI RHB turbo and Methanol fuel are in the near future. I want to run a high 13 sec 1/4 mile with it. It is a live rear axle after all!
Will probably be done after the DSM and before the Fit at this rate. House/Yard projects not withstanding.. (Can you say ADHD?)

@O.P. Ok .... wow anyway isn't the N series engine diesel?
I don't know if this has been brought up, but what about the R18.
Pros:
i-vtec shoc engine should be close to the same size as the L15a7 (i did say close, not sure how close)
has two or three turbo kits with support from hondata
stock is 140hp which is 23 more then the fit then add turbo.
Should be cheap to fine a full set-up maybe 2k with everthing?
Cons:
Engine Mounts
Wiring
Axles
ANything else
I've been doing a little research on what the civic guys are getting out of them 210+ with stock engine a turbo with a good tune. I know Go K and then bolt-ons 210+, but the idea here is to talk about some difference. So please tell me why this can't work. Already get more research so maybe development can happen.

If you are going to spend the time and money on a motor swap.. why on earth would you waste that effort on an R18? You can make north of 225whp on a stock L15A7.
Yes sir the yellow one! I'm chopping and re-welding the frame currently to accept the bigger 250cc GY6 motor. Long-case model with the disc brake conversion. I want 13's but I am building power for mid 10's. All said and done with a full tank of fuel, it should weigh in around 85 pounds. With my 305pounds on board and 65whp (260whp/liter output!) the math says it would be good for 10.3-10.5sec @ 125-130mph with that power/weight ratio.
Seems unlikely though, which is why I would be thrilled if I could hit low 13's @ 100-105mph.
It'll be on a MicroSquirt EMS with an 850cc injector, external oil cooler for the mini IHI turbo, liquid cooled motor, and even an adjustable CDI which I didn't think were made for single cylinder motors until I started researching this project. Sometimes.. you gotta love rednecks.
3-rotor Fit FTW
Boost that F20 and use a Ford 9" rear end and then we're talkin
