J's racing hyper ecu- swap?
So, what would it take to swap this bad chicken into a USDM GE? And before ANYONE starts in with that "you'll never pass emissions.." Crap, let me just say I will never have to smog my fit. I just wanna know if:
1) it's possible, without swapping an entire jdm l15.
2) would it be worth it financially (yes, I realize its an 800$ ecu, no, that is not "too much" for me)
3) how "dank" would this be? Lol.
4) would it open up some tuning possibilities?
I search j's sight and translated the jdm ecu. From what I can tell it alters the usual maps and timing, vtak, and rev limit.
Thanks guys in advance.

Don't think you would need to swap out engines. Maybe just the wire harness, cause the plug layout is different between USDM and JDM on the ECU. I would try to get a hold of 555sexydrive since he has one in his Fit (which is a JDM Fit) or talk to DSM who knows a lot more.
Also by the time you have all this done you maybe able to buy a FlashPro which is going to cost way less. But if you do fine a way please post it Good luck.

I would suggest to wait for the FlashPro as well. I myself will be picking up the FlashPro and lose the J's ECU reflash once (IF EVER!!!) available for the GE8. It only lowers VTEC to 5300 from the stock 5400, fuel cutoff (redline) is raised to 7200 and as you stated timing is altered. Also supposedly remapped the throttle, but I still use a throttle controller to ramp up the input. They have like 6 or so different tunes, based on mods (which of course is based on their products) done to your vehicle and whether it is 5MT or CVT (not available there).
Is it worth the cost, honestly I will say no, but I wanted even a smidgen more from the Fit. I do think with the FlashPro, one will be able to extract more. So as stated above and by others, just wait for the FlashPro.
