Exclamation

I'm kinda new with this Honda stuff, but seeing the engine is N/A and rated at 117 hp and 109 ft/lbs of torque, would $870 net something that substantial, really I've got the K&N Typhoon and its dyno rated to give you another 4.53 whp, so I took the plunge @$255.00 on Ebay. Now, I will say it feels more responsive and sounds great, so to me, that's worth it but an ECU in this car, unless its boosted, is a waste of money IMO, how many horses and torques are REALLY hiding in this engine

i believe those ucu's if they are like the ones from spoon and mugen for other honda's they are already pre-tuned so its just plug and play.

Give PPI a quick call or hit them an email... they will have an answer for you

The fit's stock ecu is programmed to save gas. You do need to tune if you have aftermarket bolt-on intake/exhaust.

The L15A engine proved to be a capable engine for what it is. Take in consideration of how many horses bisimoto squeezed out of the engine.

I've always wondered why Honda/Acura ECU's aren't chipped by several companies, as off the shelf tunes would probably sell really well. Coming from VW/Audis, tunes were in the neighborhood of $500 and made a world of a difference even N/A, so I'd love to see what the Fit is capable of.

Well redline is changed to 7300 allowing to hold revs that much more to keep it above VTEC upon shiftup, the artificial speed limiter is removed (we have a 180km/h soft limiter), the fan control temps are altered to turn on at a lower temp, the fuel and ignition tables have been altered, the VTEC activation has been lowered 100rpm to 5200. The car is very much more responsive after the ECU reflash. It's still no rocket, but it is much more fun to drive than it was.

Fan activates at 80℃ instead of 93℃ and deactivates at 75℃ instead of 90℃.

Definitely too much money, but I wanted something. hahaha I should just get another 5R Teggy or another Snisen and ditch the Fit. Hell looking at FD2Rs makes my mouth water, especially when I see/hear Honda Twin Cam's NA 325ps beast.
