The HONDATA FlashPro for GE8 List - Write Your Name Down!!!
I thought fuzzyfunk was in charge...
The person I spoke with at Hondata said we should submit this list for them to get the ball rolling. I mentioned that we had 70 members willing to deposit (added the previous list and this current one).

Before mentioning our forum list, he said currently they are not developing the flashpro for the GE because it is not a priority (due to lack of interest), but he assured that they would eventually release it within a year or two.
Obviously this list would speed things up.

Let's get those names on this list
I think the list will need more than just our usernames. It will likely need our real first name atleast, email address and or phone number. Hondata will need to verify each one of us to take us seriously. I'm at work now so I can't recreate the list easily with my phone. But everyone, go ahead and atleast enter your email address next to your name.

Im not going to put out names or emails. Privacy issues on a public forum.
Much better for hondata to simply let the sales do the talking. Breaking OBD2 coding isnt exactly rocket science, but it is NOT easy. However, even 40 sales is $28,000. Easily worth the effort.
$28,000 is more then I make in a full year in the military after taxes, even if I was just an E-5

I am a Hondata dealer and talk to them weekly. I have personally asked for my personal car regarding the GE8 FlashPro. Just got off the phone with them and still the same thing. There is no plan to make one at this time.
I received the same response from the Hondata forum admin today when I posed the same question. It seems Hondata don't see a good business case in developing FlashPro for our car. Maybe to them the return on investment just isn't there. There might be other influencing factors that cannot be disclose outside of the company. You could only politely ask for Honda Fit GE FlashPro.
Hondata View topic - Honda fit ge8 flashpro???

Just sucks look at the community that would actually buy one and use it. I personally would use the shit out it and love it, but if they dont want to produce one for our car I guess its time to do a k swap

Who is this person that fitderp spoke to regarding getting the ball rolling if we sent them the list? Really got our hopes up for a minute.

OP, sorry to break it to you but this is not gonna happen. I personally called and spoke with the engineer at Hondata on the phone. They will not make this for the GE. I used to be hopeful like you (check my signature) but I gave up on the Fit altogether. Best decision I made
The issue is, out of the 70 claimed people willing to deposit, MAYBE 25 will actually do so.
From my experience, Fit people (in large part) are some of the flakiest, cheapest car 'enthusiasts' out there; as a business I wouldn't consider catering to this market. A car that is now obsolete, not a great platform to begin with, etc. etc.

Well it was worth a shot. You guys could be right that it likely is a lost cause. I just wanted to put it out there to see where we as a community stand on the seriousness and commitment of buying a flashpro should it have been made.
But it's not the end of the world for us GE folks since we do have other options to get more power out of the GE with the release of the Sprintex SC and looks like there is an AEM F/IC plug and play harness available now by boomslang but it is an very expensive harness. Yes these are all more expensive than the flashpro but like they always says you gotta pay if you wanna play. That includes buying a different car with more power lol.

Hondata is loosing their ground. support the CRZ, but not the Fit that outsells it by tenfold. Support the turbo K23 version of the Pilot, yet take forever for the S2000.
Support civics seconds after their release, yet still skipping the Fit.
What the hell Hondata? Is the business full of complete toolbags?

Get a ton of PMs about builds, provide them an outline of the information I'll need only to not have questions answered and waste a lot of time bickering about costs including my commission..
It's a sad truth.
It's more worth my time to do nothing, spend time with the fiance and friends, work on my house or my car rather then exchange emails/PMs that get me nowhere and leave me frustrated.
Steadily moving away from the Honda crowd in general. The guys who race, take it very seriously. The Honda guys who want to go fast teach themselves how eventually or end up parting out after blowing up more than they can afford.
The Fit and DSM may well be my last 4 cylinder projects. I don't get nickel and dimed or second guessed as much on other platforms. Not that they don't still have a budget, but most seem to understand that when you are paying a professional to do something it's because you don't know better than they do.
/rant over..
you sound exactly like my buddy shamaous who does the 700-800hp eclipse builds.
Never again will he sit their arguing with customers who want 500hp but only want to spend 4 grand and only a few days.
Time is precious, I dont blame you for stepping away from the common-ish honda owners lol

Good luck guys! And I mean GOOOOOD luck!
I would sign up, but 600+ dollars to tune the GE's crappy L15 is CRAAAAAZY!
Plus I agree with what mikey said.
