0w20 or 5w30 for my 2011 fit GE6

Hi,

I live in tropic where temperature never falls below 10 C. My owner manual recommends 0w20, but it isn't available here. What I could find here is 5w30 honda oil. Is it okay to use 5w30 instead of 0w20.

the short answer is yes. the long answer is you won't get as good mpg but your engine will likely last longer. the 5 doesn't matter in your country because it doesn't snow. the W in oil stands for winterized and how cold the oil can become without freezing. the 30 is the viscosity. slightly more viscosity means your engine will have to work just a little harder and i do mean barely at all but will protect and sheer less.
