Air Intake/Brake light
Air Intake/Brake light
Hello everyone,
Curious which air intake do you have on ur fit? Am planning to update my stock to an aftermarket air intake. If i upgrade it, will it help me with my mpg? benefit of adding air intake?
i drive a 2012 honda fit BASED model
2nd question, i seen those customize 3rd brake light with the word, FIT on it. I tried find the DIY for it and struggle to find a forum for it. Am wondering what LED light is that.
Thanks for ur help!

The benefits of adding an aftermarket air intake are very slim if indeed measurable at all. It will not improve your milage observably. It will at most provide a miniscule increase in power (at least without also upgrading many other components—the exhaust system and the heads—or adding a turbo). It does alter the sound of the engine somewhat, and some people like that.
I think the "Fit" brake lights are available from e.g. EBay. (Be aware that most of them are not technically legal for highway use in the US, as they haven't been DOT approved, though the chances of being stopped or fined for having one are practically zero unless it's obvious that it's totally inadequate.)

2012 Base MT, bone stock for all intents and purposes. I have put on some mesh to protect the A/C condenser, installed a leather wrap for the steering wheel (much more comfy to hold on to), and mounted a GPS—nothing even remotely exotic.
I am very happy with the car—it's doing just what I expected, and doing it very well indeed. It's economical, versatile for carrying all sorts of things and/or passengers, decently fun to drive, and so far impeccably reliable. I've no regrets whatsoever after three years and more than 65k miles.
